CITY-CITY GIRLS EDUCATION AND RESCUE CENTER

Clay-City Community serves some of the world's most vulnerable young women . They confront significant hurdles because they are from Kenya's poorest area. These girls must endure hazards such as malnutrition, sickness (malaria, HIV/AIDS), a severe work load, animal attacks, molestation, the sex trade, prostitution, and early marriage in order to stay in school and develop a better life. Without assistance, barely 5% of the females in the neighborhood are able to attend high school. Pregnancies among 6th and 8th grade girls are on the rise. Solution The Center provides (1) a safe place for girls who are being chased or assaulted; (2) mentorship in assertiveness, life skills, and study habits; (3) family counseling to assist parents in supporting their daughters' education; and (4) a study hall with tutoring and study sessions.(5) Pregnancy lessons to help pregnant girls continue in school; and (6) business training to enable the center and the girls become self-sufficient....

An educated girl is more likely to enter the labor field, bringing economic security to her family and society. According to studies, women invest over 90% of their income in their families and communities, decreasing poverty and enhancing health, safety, and education for everybody. An educated lady understands the dangers of unprotected, casual intercourse and will thus aid in the fight against the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted illnesses. She will be more prepared to deal with pregnancy and the health difficulties that come with it. As a result, mother and newborn health ...
